Critical Bug for iPod Touch 3rd Generation

I literally cannot start the game because the UI is oversized. After selecting New Game, the introductory page is obscured to the point that there is no "continue" button. I am stuck on that page and cannot progress.

I admire the positive support fans are giving this port for the sake of the trilogy, but its objectively broken for me at the moment.
